Even before his death, the small boy never felt a sense of belonging. His antlers were too tall. His face was too furry. After his small soul succumbed to a Victorian bout of consumption, he felt even less accepted. The other boys refused to share with him, not even the teeniest morsel of brain. Selfish louts.
