In his guise as a young boy, Edsen Dubois walks the streets of the French Quarter. He goes to school. He plays with his friends. He leads, to all appearances, a perfectly normal, ordinary life.
 
But inside young Edsen is the wolf. Whatever he does, wherever he goes, the wolf goes with him.
 
Only three nights a month is Edsen completely at the mercy of the wolf. On the night of the full moon, the werewolf takes control, but at all other times, the wolf is only one growl and a bite away from taking over Edsen and leading him on a wild night run.
