The Elephant is the largest living land mammal. They are found in the savannas and grasslands of Asia and Africa. They can weigh up to nine tons and average between ten and thirteen feet tall. The Elephant lives in small matriarchal groups. Male (bull) elephants live in separate herds.
 
Elephants live up to seventy years. Their gestation cycles lasts between 18 and 22 months. Longevity is built in.
 
We need to mark time in Elephant time. We don't need to hurry. We don't need to frantically rush from one activity to another. Take your time. Savor each moment. Embrace mindfulness. Exist in the here and now.
 
Move slowly but with deliberation. The Elephant is patient as well as wise. Slow doesn't mean a lack of intelligence. Rather it indicates a breadth and depth to thought. The Trunk is packed to the brim with what matters.
