This necklace is a beautiful statement piece as the focal features an original piece of my art work - an altered portrait of the Germanic princess, Sybil of Cleves (sister to the lady unfortunate enough to marry Henry VIII, but then fortunate enough to have the marriage annulled. Whew! Her head remained where it belonged, on her neck!)
I love antiques, things that are old, pieces that seem carry a little bit of history with them. I love their mysterious nature. How did they get here? Who owned them? Who loved them and wore them in the past?
The main focal is 1.25 inches in diameter, crafted to maintain an antiqued quality. Glass framework may include inclusions and flaws as item is completely handmade and the intent is historical charm not factory perfection.
Overall, the necklace is 30 inches long. The necklace is well beaded with black czech glass beads, interposed with fancy gunmetal jump rings.
The perfect statement piece. A necklace you'll reach for time and time again. Made with a love for all things magical and mystical, here at Victorian Minx.
