Catherine Eddowes suffered her share of troubles and misfortunes, born in 1842 and orphaned by 1857. She struggled with alcoholism and the difficulties of simply finding a warm place to sleep.
On the night of Sept 30, 1888, she was brutally murdered by the man whom we've come to know only as Jack the Ripper
