The Unbelongings Have Arrived

I hope the turn of the year has been kind to you.
I took a small winter pause to listen, to make, and to gather my thoughts for the months ahead. What returned to me, again and again, was one word:
Sovereignty.
Not the loud kind. The quiet kind. The kind that means standing inside your own life and saying: This is mine.
Out of that listening came a new body of work I’ve been holding close for some time now.
I call them The Unbelongings.
They are small, strange beings who never quite found a place in the ordinary world. They linger at thresholds, in forgotten gardens, in the spaces between decisions. Each one carries a story fragment, the echo of something lived or longed for.
Today, I’m finally ready to introduce you to three of them.
The rest will be waiting quietly for those who meet them in person.

🌿 Elspeth Bloom
She woke each morning with soil beneath her feet
and a flower growing from her thoughts.
The world never asked her to become this,
but she did it anyway.
Elspeth is the beginning.
She reminds us that becoming who we are is an act of sovereignty.

🦋 Isolde Lumen
When the old skin split, light poured out.
The forest went silent as she lifted herself
into something new.
Isolde is the crossing.
She carries the courage of transformation.

🌳 Maribel Thorne
She learned to stand where storms passed through her.
Roots in the dark.
Thorns in the wind.
No witness required.
Maribel is the staying.
She is the quiet power of holding your ground.
There are many more Unbelongings waiting.
Some are gentle.
Some are watchful.
Some are not meant to be found all at once.
They will be revealed fully at my first market of the year.
If you come, they will be there, watching from their frames.
Thank you for walking with me into this new year.
May your days be shaped by what you choose,
and your life grow more yours with every step.
With gratitude,
Loveday
