From the Sunlight to the Shadows and Back Again

We all struggle with self-love and self-acceptance, forgetting that so much of what we do and how we act reflects the programming that we received in our childhood.

Do we get angry at the blender for grinding up ice and strawberries? Are we furious and disappointed in the oven when it bakes up a tray of chocolate chip cookies?

We are not so we need to stop blaming ourselves when we struggle and even when we fail. We are only as good as our programming.

But don't give up hope. We can reprogram ourselves. We can learn to accept and love ourselves. We can remember that we were small children that deserved all the love and nurturing. Even if we didn't get it then, we can work to provide that stable support that we needed all along.

I am excited to announce my new project: "The Journey to Self Love": a journey that will take you from the light of the sun to the depths of the shadows and back again. It is a journey of embracing all of yourself, even the parts that you might have previously rejected or deemed unworthy.

This project is designed to help people embrace different meditations and rituals that will support them on their journey toward loving and accepting themselves fully.

We all have different aspects of ourselves that we might struggle to embrace or accept. Whether it's our physical appearance, our personality traits, or our past mistakes, it can be challenging to love and accept ourselves fully. That's why I created this journey to provide people with tools and practices that can help them cultivate a deeper sense of self-love and self-acceptance.

I am still deep into the New Orleans Fallen Angel Oracle Deck, specifically the card for the Fallen Angel, Azazel. This project is all about returning to our journey of shadow work and exploring the reality of this card. It's an opportunity to confront and embrace the parts of ourselves that we might have previously rejected or deemed unworthy.

Throughout these projects, we'll be focusing on loving ourselves in both the light and the dark. It's important to embrace our shadows and insecurities as well as the parts of ourselves that we love and cherish. By doing so, we can develop a more balanced and authentic sense of self, which will support us on our journey toward self-love and self-acceptance.

So, if you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and self-love, I invite you to join me on these two projects. Together, we can embrace the different parts of ourselves, learn to love ourselves more fully and cultivate a deeper sense of compassion and acceptance for ourselves and others.

So if you're ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and self-love, I invite you to come along. Let's explore the sunlight and the shadows together, and discover the beauty and wholeness that lies within each of us.

Do you know what it means to be the best-looking person in the room?

I do, always and forever.

Eyeballs exploding in envy even as they lick my shoes.

I'm not one of your traditional angels. I don't glow with an inner radiance but these feathers put on a light show all their own.

I bring the bright. I bring the brilliant.

I walked this earth in the days of the Nephilim while my fellow watchers lay with women.

Not me. I tried to teach them how to better themselves but I could only do so much with inferior raw materials. A little blush. A little rouge. A little lip stain. I tried.

The maker thought his human pets delightful as is, bless his little immortal heart. He took my angel wings but left me these.

I think it an upgrade.

I still try to help these humans. They send for me. They summon me so I try.

Most cases, most humans, with their sad stories and drooping souls seem hopeless but I am Azazel, the Peacock Angel, and I am here to help.

Oracle Card of Azazel

Azazel is a fascinating figure in Jewish and Christian mythology, known for their role as a leader among the fallen angels and their association with forbidden knowledge and rebellion. The story of Azazel can be traced back to the Book of Enoch, an ancient Jewish text that describes the activities of a group of angels who came to earth and taught humans forbidden knowledge. Azazel was one of the leaders of this group and taught humans how to make weapons, jewelry, and cosmetics.

In the Bible, Azazel is mentioned in the book of Leviticus, where they are associated with the ritual of the scapegoat. According to Jewish tradition, the High Priest would select two goats on the Day of Atonement, one of which would be sacrificed as a sin offering, while the other would be designated as the scapegoat. The High Priest would confess the sins of the Israelites over the head of the scapegoat, and then send it out into the wilderness, carrying the sins of the people with it. This ritual was seen as a way of purifying the community and restoring the relationship between God and the Israelites.

In Jewish mythology, Azazel appears as a powerful and dangerous figure, who delights in tempting humans with forbidden knowledge and encouraging them to rebel against God. He is often depicted as a proud and arrogant figure, who sees himself as superior to humans and even to other angels. Some traditions identify Azazel with the serpent in the Garden of Eden, who tempted Eve with the forbidden fruit of knowledge.

In the context of this oracle deck, the Azazel card symbolizes the power of forbidden knowledge and the temptation of the forbidden fruit. It represents the potential for rebellion, the ability to challenge authority, and break free from conventional thinking. The card warns of the dangers of pride and arrogance, and the potential consequences of disobedience.

When drawn in a reading, the Azazel card indicates a need to question authority, seek out forbidden knowledge, and challenge societal norms. It also indicates a need to be aware of the potential consequences of disobedience, and to consider the potential risks and rewards of rebellion. Azazel suggests the need to be cautious in seeking knowledge, and to be aware of the potential dangers of arrogance and pride.

The Azazel card indicates a need to question our own beliefs and assumptions, seek out new perspectives and ideas, and challenge our own limitations. It suggests the need to be aware of our own pride and arrogance, and to be careful not to fall into the trap of thinking that we know everything. The card expresses the potential for personal growth and self-discovery through the process of questioning authority and seeking forbidden knowledge.
