🕯 From Sunlight to Shadow: After Festival Acadiens, Onward to the Gothic Market

Festival Acadiens et Créoles was a whirl of color, zydeco, and kind hearts, a celebration of everything bright and sun-drenched about Louisiana. I came home sun-kissed, bone-tired, and grateful beyond words. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared a story, or carried a piece of my art home with them.
Now, as the season leans toward shadow, I’m packing my world again. This weekend, the compass turns south to Westwego, to the Alario Center, where candles will replace sunlight and the air will hum with dark enchantment.
✦ The Grimoire Academy & Gothic Market
📍 Alario Center, Westwego, Louisiana📅 Saturday & Sunday
If Festival Acadiens was a hymn to daylight, the Grimoire Academy Gothic Market is its moonlit counterpart, a gathering of artists, mystics, and makers who live where myth meets midnight.
I’ll be there with my surreal digital collages: haunted saints, fox-hearted tricksters, dreamers stitched from antique photographs and impossible light. Each one is part relic, part revelation, a window into the beautiful, unsettling world between worlds.
✦ The Art of the Threshold
These markets always remind me how thin the veil really is. By day, I’m an artist arranging pixels and folklore; by night, I’m part of a living story shared between all of us who still believe in wonder.
If you’re near New Orleans or the Westbank, come wander through the booths, talk spells and stories, and find the piece that whispers your name.
✨ Why You’ll Want to Visit:
Discover one-of-a-kind dark art, crystals, oddities, and handmade curiosities.
Connect with Louisiana’s growing gothic and spiritual community.
Step into a world that celebrates creativity, mystery, and magic.
🕯 See you at the Grimoire Academy Gothic Market, where stories wear black lace and every booth holds a little spell.
