From Shattered to Thriving: The Art of Resilience after Narcissistic Abuse

When your partner of eight years, who's been spiraling further and further out of control, waves a gun around in front of your mother, what do you do?

With the help and support of family and friends, I left, taking my two teenage children with me. I started over. What I lost in square footage, I gained in mental clarity. I'd been living in an increasingly dangerous and unstable situation, somehow hoping that I would find stability, but with a covert narcissist spiraling out of control, that became impossible.

I started telling everyone what had happened to me. I got a restraining order which turned into a no-contact order and started putting my life back in order. I'd chosen the word "Alchemy" for 2024 and how true it has become. Everything is changing. I'm focusing on my healing journey, and in a way, I've turned my pain and trauma into something beautiful: The Art of Resilience: Narcissistic Abuse Recovery Oracle.

This blog post marks a new phase for me. My upcoming oracle deck, "The Art of Resilience," will be available by the end of summer, delving deeper into this transformative journey. But for now, I want to focus on the positive – on self-love, healing, and the incredible strength we possess as survivors.

Yes, narcissists hurt us. They damage us, leave us with scars, and burden us with trauma. But we can heal. That's what matters.  Understanding narcissism is crucial, but I don't want to dwell on negativity. Instead, let's focus on recognizing these manipulative patterns and, more importantly, moving forward and rebuilding our lives.

This blog, moving forward, will be a space dedicated to self-love and healing.  I'll share my artistic journey, exploring themes of resilience through my work. We'll delve into practical tips for self-care, navigate the complexities of co-parenting after narcissistic abuse, and celebrate the victories, big and small, along the way.

I may not be ready to handle interacting with other survivors directly yet, but through this platform, we can connect and find strength in shared experiences.  We can learn from each other, offer support, and remind one another that we are not alone.

This is our journey of turning our wounds into wisdom, our pain into power, and our scars into a testament to our incredible resilience.

So, welcome to this new chapter. Let's heal together.

I love you and I believe in you!
