A Book, a Microphone, a Rainstorm

There are seasons where it feels like everything is stepping into the light at once, a little rain-soaked, a little nerve-wracked, and very alive.
The biggest news is that my book, The Woman Who Wasn’t Always, is now available on Amazon. That still feels a little wild to say. This story has lived with me for a long time, and seeing it finally out in the world feels both surreal and deeply meaningful. If you love strange, beautiful, liminal stories with heart, I hope you’ll check it out, share it, and help me give it a good start in the world. Every read, every share, and every bit of support matters more than I can say.
This weekend, I also had a wonderful time at LA Psych Fest, despite the rain. The weather may have been gloomy, but the event still felt vibrant and full of good energy. There is something special about showing up anyway, about gathering with creative people under less-than-perfect skies and still finding beauty, conversation, and connection.
And the creative weekend didn’t stop there. I also went to Ladies First at the Original Nite Cap with my friend Leah Fulton, which was such a joy. We got to see our teacher, JQ, who taught us stand-up, and it was one of those moments that makes you pause and realize something is really happening. We’re out in the world now, pursuing this dream and this interest as friends and comics, and that feels incredibly special to me. There’s something powerful about beginning as students and slowly becoming the people who actually do the thing.
Right now, life feels very full in the best way: art, writing, festivals, books, comedy, friendship, and the strange, beautiful work of building a creative life one brave little step at a time.
And if you’d like to support mine, the clearest way right now is by checking out The Woman Who Wasn’t Always on Amazon. Buying the book, sharing it, or telling a friend about it helps more than you know, and I’d be so grateful.
With love,
Loveday
